What distance should you enter?
Use the approximate kilometres on the movement, the same distance you would put against the e-way bill for that LR or bilty. Part of a band still counts as a full day.
What happens when the bill expires before delivery?
An open LR can still be on the road when validity ends. Teams then extend bills one by one on the portal. E-way bill software inside iLogitix is meant to sit next to that LR, including auto-extend on undelivered loads. The invoice is a separate step — see GST transport billing.

Frequently asked questions
How is e-way bill validity calculated from distance?
For ordinary cargo the long-published rule is one day for every 200 km or part of that distance. 200 km is one day. 201 km is two days. This page applies that ceiling to the distance you enter. It does not file a bill.
Does over-dimensional cargo use a different validity?
Yes. Over-dimensional cargo uses a shorter band: one day for every 20 km or part of that distance. Tick that option in the calculator. Confirm the current band on the e-way bill portal before you rely on the day count.
Will this calculator extend my e-way bill?
No. It only turns distance into a day count. Extending a bill still happens on the portal or in software linked to the open LR. iLogitix can auto-extend e-way bills tied to undelivered LRs when that module is on.
